Our Mission

TIDA's mission is to:
• Promote the interests of Toronto's professional Internet development community.
• Provide a forum for members to share information, learn from each other, and build new partnerships.
• Promote the Internet and its technologies.
• Disseminate information to its members about the Internet and its development.
• Serve as a resource centre for businesses and organizations in Toronto.
• Participate in an international organization (IDA) that effectively and fairly represents the interests of its chapters.

TIDA promotes the interests of its members through the following activities:
• Informal monthly meetings:
  Regularly scheduled meetings allow you to exchange ideas with your peers, network, and educate yourself and others.
• Vendor forums:
  You are invited to participate in forums where you can meet vendors and initiate partnerships to help you achieve your business goals.
• TIDA sponsored events:
  These events are open to the public and are designed to educate the business community on the nature and uses of Internet technologies.
• Media Awareness:
  TIDA encourages media coverage, and the media profile of the group informs the public of our members' projects.
• Member discounts:
  TIDA offers special discounted member rates on a variety of things including tradeshows, events, and products.

But most importantly, the TIDA is about you -- the professional Internet Developer and your concerns. Our prime objective is to provide a forum whose mandate is dictated by its members.
